Hotel Mareluna

This is a nice Hotel to stay with but the pictures of the beach are very misleading. They have a public beach you can walk to below the hotel which is convenient but it is nothing like those pictures. The beach has sea growth washing up on the sand all day and it is very crowded. They do offer to take you to a private beach down the road with a shuttle and that is nice as well but definitely not 4 stars. Maybe over all it rates 3 stars.

Beautiful structure and well positioned along the coast of San Marco. We stayed there for our ten-day holiday. Polite, kind and very helpful staff, maximum cleanliness both in the common areas and in the rooms which however could do with some coat hangers and some shelves. Beautiful garden with many corners in which to rest and chat, very comfortable swimming pool with all comforts. As for the dining room service, it is looked after very well by a professional and kind maitre d' who manages an excellent team of guys who are always ready to satisfy every request. Let's move on to catering. Rich, varied and all very fresh breakfast that satisfies every taste. Menu that varies every day with more choice of dishes, excellent first courses with fresh pasta prepared on site by the chef, good local products such as cured meats, vegetables and cheeses, all very plentiful, the only flaw that we were unable to understand, the Mareluna being a structure on the sea with a port a hundred meters away where fishing boats come in every day bringing very fresh fish, this is because only frozen fish is used for seafood dishes. This unfortunately will make us reflect on whether to return or not.

The Mareluna hotel is located in the port area of San Marco di Castellabate. An intimate and well-managed place. The staff very friendly and helpful. The strong points of the structure are the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff and a decent cuisine (the weak point are the desserts but otherwise the food is very good). The structure has a well-maintained swimming pool even if the condorts such as a hydromassage and a heated tub are always to be requested. The weak point of the structure is the beach service. The beach, to which they refer, is horribly dirty and poorly managed, let's say the opposite of the beauty of the hotel. I hope they can change their support base.

Excellent fish cuisine, beautiful swimming pool, very courteous and helpful staff, surrounded by well-kept gardens. The small beach accessible by a large and shaded staircase is crowded, but the sea is very clean. The rooms are simply furnished, a few more coat hangers and shelves would be needed. Silent and familiar environment. Excellent location, a stone's throw from the town center. Highly recommended.
